What do you do for a living?:
Talk to people all day long! I work at NNB as the front desk person, assistant to the Cluster Coordinator and Media Consultant to the world! (ok, local businesses, but to them, they are the world). And other duties as assigned (it’s everyone’s job description!)

Tell us about yourself (tell us about your family, your hobbies, interests, etc):
I am a 36 year old single parent to the most amazing 15 year old who attends Henley High School. I love to watch her play volleyball. My life is her, and everything else is second place. I am the worship leader, high school Sunday school and youth group leader at my church. I love to garden and cook. I am on committee with Relay for Life…a great cause, because cancer never sleeps…it just takes life without hesitation or preference. My dad died in February 2008 from cancer. Finding a cure would mean another daughter wouldn’t have to lose her dad like that.

Tell us your fitness history (was there a time where you in shape? If so, what happened?? Were you always out of shape?):

I was very fit in high school. Then got married and had a c-section (she didn’t want to come out!). It hurts to exercise due to scaring of tissues. My weight has been up and down over the years and I’ve tried a lot of different diets. Right now, I’m the heaviest I ever been. L I’ve always been a stress eater and when you don’t exercise, it catches up to you. The reason I’m overweight is because I became lazy and didn’t care about my body. I’m changing that now!

What made you enter the Belly Buster?:

I hate being overweight. I want to be able to walk up the stairs without dying for a breath. I want to be more active without sweating so much. I knew that if I could do the Belly Buster for 3 months, it would become a lifestyle for me.

What are your goals in the Belly Buster?:
My goal is to be in better health than from when we started. To be able to see my toes when I look down. To be around when my daughter gets married and has children (which won’t be until she’s 35 J)

What do you think will be your biggest challenges in the Belly Buster??

Finding time to exercise. My life is consumed with my daughter’s life…but I’m starting to bring her to my workouts, so that gives us time together.

What are your long term fitness goals, for when the Belly Buster is over??

Long term goal is to get to my ideal weight and maintain it with a healthy lifestyle and exercise program. I have made the commitment to continue with my fitness goals until I reach my goals…no matter how long it takes
