Recently a young lady joined our KLAD FM 92.5 Wake-Up Crew. She is to be Kevin's other half, and in some instances, she is already clearly the better half of the morning show. Bringing charm, wit, and a bright cheery outlook with her, she is certain to be a hit within the community. She is also handling the job of being our news information source for the station, and has hit the ground running to get the information you want and need to hear available to you on our websites and our radio stations as soon as possible.
Melody lived in Medford as a small child but later moved and was actually raised all over the Pacific Northwest. She again moved to Medford in the 90's but eventually settled in Albany. She lived in the Albany/Corvallis area for the last ten years but she and her husband Kevin recently moved to Klamath Falls to be closer to family while raising their two children, Elric and Hillary.
Melody was also the singer in a band in and around the Willamette Valley for several years and has also performed with the Albany Civic Theater since 1999. She has owned her own business, worked as an accountant and even spent four years as a clerk at Safeway. She has lobbied for the Eastern Washington Daycare Association, volunteered for United Way, Easter Seals and Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society.
Melody considers family and community to be the two single most important parts of her life in Klamath Falls. Her hobbies are singing, playing games with her kids, sewing, cooking, reading, skiing and art.
Oh yes… and she squeezes all of that in and around her busy On the Air schedule here at KLAD FM 92.5, Oregon’s Country Giant, her new home away from home. Email Melody.
